George Siber, M.D.

Executive Chairman

Dr. Siber, most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of Wyeth Vaccines, is a leading authority on vaccines. While at Wyeth, Dr. Siber oversaw the development and approval of multiple widely-used childhood vaccines, including Prevnar®, a pneumococcal vaccine which has achieved multibillion dollar revenues; Acel-Imune®, an acellular pertussis vaccine; and Meningitec®, a meningococcal meningitis vaccine. Prior to Wyeth, Dr. Siber was Director of the Massachusetts Public Health Biologic Laboratories and a Harvard Medical School Associate Professor of Medicine at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. During this time, Dr. Siber led the research and manufacturing of multiple vaccines and immune globulins including Respigam®, a human immune globulin against respiratory syncytial virus.

Kevin Bitterman, Ph.D.

Principal, Polaris Venture Partners, Genocea Co-Founder

Dr. Bitterman joined Polaris in 2004 and focuses on investments in the life sciences. Prior to joining Polaris, Kevin completed his Ph.D. in genetics at Harvard Medical School. His doctoral research focused on small molecule regulation of the sirtuin class of protein deacetylases. Kevin has authored papers in the journals Nature, Science and Molecular Cell. He is also a co-founder of Parasol Therapeutics and Sirtris Pharmaceuticals. In addition to Genocea, Kevin currently represents Polaris as a Director of Biolex Therapeutics, TARIS Inc., Follica Inc., Parasol Therapeutics, and Solace Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, Kevin is a Board Observer to Pulmatrix Inc.

Dalton Einhorn

Principal, Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation

Mr. Einhorn joined Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation in 2010. Prior to joining JJDC, Dalton was a Principal with Latterell Venture Partners, a healthcare venture capital firm. His experience also includes a variety of marketing and pre-launch commercialization and strategy roles in the pharmaceutical industry with Roche, Daiichi-Sankyo and Novo Nordisk, and as an investment banker with Credit Suisse. Mr. Einhorn received an MBA degree from Yale School of Management and a bachelor's degree from Drew University.

Simeon J. George, MD

Partner, SR One

Dr. George joined SR One in 2007 and focuses on investing in emerging life science companies. Dr. George, serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Anaphore and as an observer at Rib-X and Syntaxin. Prior to joining SR One, Dr. George was a consultant at Bain & Company and an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. Dr. George earned his M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and his M.B.A. degree from the Wharton School of Business, where he was a Mayer Scholar. He holds a B.A. in Neuroscience from the Johns Hopkins University.

Stephen J. Hoffman, M.D., Ph.D.

Managing Director, Skyline Ventures

Dr. Hoffman joined Skyline Ventures in May 2007. Prior to joining Skyline, Steve was a General Partner of TVM Capital and the founding President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Allos Therapeutics, Inc. Dr. Hoffman received his PhD from Northwestern University in chemistry and his MD from the University of Colorado. Dr. Hoffman completed a fellowship in clinical oncology and a residency and immunodermatology fellowship in dermatology, at the University of Colorado. Steve currently serves as Chairman for Allos Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ALTH) and is also on the Board of Directors for AcelRx, Concert Pharmaceuticals, Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, Kai Pharmaceuticals and Tolerx.

Robert Paull

Managing Partner, Lux Capital, Genocea Co-Founder

Mr. Paull, who was Genocea's founding CEO, focuses on ventures in life sciences. He manages Lux Capital's investment in Cerulean Pharmaceuticals (pharmaceutical nanoencapsulation), Molecular Imprints (semiconductor imprint lithography), Kereos (targeted nanoparticle diagnostics), and Parasol Therapeutics (infectious diseases). In 2009, he was nominated as Biotech CEO of the Year at the World Vaccine Congress. Robert is also Co-Founder of Lux Research (emerging technology research).
He is a member of Motorola's Research Visionary Board and an invited lecturer at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the National Cancer Institute, Yale University, Georgetown, and the University of Virginia. He has been published in Journal of Biomedical Materials Research (Applied Biomaterials) and Nature Biotechnology. Mr. Paull graduated from the University of Virginia and was a member of the Regional Selection Committee for UVA's Jefferson Scholars Foundation.
